This 4-room basement (!) apartment is located in an Art Nouveau villa right in the heart of Hamburg-Blankenese. It’s less than a 3-minute walk to the Blankenese S-Bahn and bus station. From there, it’s about a 40-minute public transit ride to downtown Hamburg, the harbor, and musicals; about 40 minutes to the stadium and arena; and about a 20-minute walk to the banks of the Elbe and the beach through the famous Blankenese “Treppenviertel” (Staircase Quarter). Several parks are in the immediate vicinity. A variety of shops, restaurants, and bars are practically right on your doorstep.

This appartment lies close to the Elbe in the nabourhood of Blankenese. With a large garden including a barbecue and more it is great in summer. As it is built in de basement, it is nice and cool even in hot weather. There are enough windows in the bedrooms, but none in the kotchen/living, so we stayed outdoors quit often. In winter it would probably be rather dark. Blankenese is a nice place with many shops and pretty good restaurants and a lovely walk to the Elbe. The appartment is only a 3 minutes walk away from the S-bahn, no need to take the car into the city. All in all a nice experience.
