At least the location was good, given the number of issues with the accomodation itself.

The location was great- very central and convenient to everything we needed. We were within walking distance of a laundromat, fast-food options, restaurants, and the train station, which made getting around easy.

Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing and there were a number of issues. After paying for the booking, we were advised that a fire inspection would take place during our stay and were asked to remain at the property to accommodate it. We explained that we were travelling to Sydney for professional development and could not do so. We were then offered $50 to stay, which we declined, and were subsequently told to leave the key in the mailbox so the owner could enter while we were away. This made us uncomfortable given our personal belongings would be inside the property. We were also advised after booking that there would be a power outage for an entire night during our stay. Most concerning was arriving at the agreed 3pm check-in time to find the apartment had not been cleaned. There was hair on the floor, wet and dirty towels, unclean bedding and the property was generally in an unacceptable condition. We were advised minutes later that the cleaners had not been, then had to wait around for the cleaners to arrive and clean the apartment before they left. This was a significant waste of our time, particularly after travelling interstate and arranging our plans around the agreed check-in time. There were further issues throughout the stay, including a fire alarm that repeatedly beeped even after the inspection, and a washing machine that did not work. We contacted the host about the washing machine and followed the instructions provided, but the issue remained unresolved and it was clear the machine was faulty. Overall, the stay fell well below the standard we expected. The combination of cleanliness issues, the delayed check-in, unexpected disruptions, privacy concerns and faulty facilities made the experience particularly disappointing. Given the amount paid for the accommodation, we expected the apartment to be clean, ready on arrival and for the advertised facilities to be functional. Unfortunately, this was not the case.

Overall, there was a lot of potential to this property but unfortunately did not reach these expectations.

We loved the location of the property and overall layout inside.

We were asked to leave keys/wait around for a maintenance guy to come up to the property during our stay. We found this very unprofessional as we should not have to be leaving our keys or letting in maintenance people up to our property during our stay which we have paid for. We found this as a breach to our safety and security, so asked for this maintenance to be rescheduled. The beds were poorly made, as if rushed. One of the dining table chairs were oddly placed in one of the rooms, and one of its legs were broken so was unusable. There was an odd frame in one of the rooms (we assume to have acted as a barrier or door for the second room which had no door), but was also unusable as it was broken. There was a balcony but was unaccessible as there was no key to open it.
