A very good stay in a perfect central location, with a helpful and responsive host.

Great central location — everything was just around the corner. Communication with the host was also excellent; he was always very responsive.

The apartment is quite small and a little tight for two people, although it has everything you need. It can also be a bit noisy, as you can hear the neighbors and people outside quite clearly.

Exaggerated quality

It was well located, clean and the bed was comfortable

I want to be as fair as possible in the review whilst owning some of my errors in assessing this property. I believed I had booked the accommodation with the terrace but not so. I would echo one of the other reviews which indicates that the twenty pictures give a false impression of what is available. There are effectively three lodgings and buyer beware. We ended up in the first floor one which I have to say is two rooms one dominated by a double bed only with a cupboard, no bedside tables and whilst the bed was comfortable and the air con was great, there was no additional comfort to the room. Air con was only in the bedroom. The shower and toilet were as basic as you can get and effectively a cubicle being tight. The ante room which formed part of the entrance was also Spartan, effectively a kitchen table and two dining chairs, so no comfortable seating area in which to relax. The kitchen is not worth mentioning. The “balcony” was a Juliet style and you could effectively shake hands with your neighbours across the alleyway. The whole of the two rooms were tidy but the decor was basic, tiled and white paint. This looks like it has been quickly decorated as a local has moved out to make it serviceable. The neighbours also smoke and this wafts into the bedroom area particularly early morning. The entrance to the building is by a sharply inclined set of stairs and a very narrow set at that. The accommodation is effectively austere with little natural light too. It is honestly the worst booking.com accommodation we have had. We stayed out most of the time because of it. It’s a great location just minutes from everything in the old town but it needs total modernisation and it is only useful for a one or two night stay. We had four nights hoping it would be a comfortable end to 12 days visiting Puglia which was entirely wonderful otherwise. This was also the most expensive we booked of our four stays and the one to offer the least comfort.
