Die Wohnung liegt in La Kalsa, einem historischen, aber trotzdem ruhigen Stadtviertel von Palermo. Stefania, unsere Gastgeberin, war superfreundlich und hilfsbereit und hatte jede Menge Tipps für den Aufenthalt vorbereitet. Die Küche war bestens ausgestattet. Die Lage ist ideal für die Erkundung von Palermo, vor allem, wenn man sich für die Geschichte der Mafia-Bekämpfer Giovanni Falcone und Paolo Borsellini interessiert. Auch der Palazzo Abatellis ist gleich um die Ecke. Außerdem gibt es zahlreiche empfehlenswerte Restaurants in der unmittelbaren Umgebung.
Wie in historischen Altbauten in Italien üblich, gibt es manchmal ein Problem mit der Infrastruktur, so liebevoll die Wohnung auch restauriert sein mag.

Domus Vetriera met all of our needs during our recent stay in Palermo. Inside the apartment the facilities are great and that gave us the option of eating in or going out to one of the many restaurants in town. The property is withing walking distance of Via Vittorio Emanuele and the attractions on and near that thoroughfare. There is a good sized supermarket only five or six minutes' walk from the apartment. Stefania is a lovely host and the apartment is safe and secure.
I have nothing negative to contribute about Domus Vetriera.

It was close to Historic sites, restaurants and the City Center. Affordable and accomodated parking for our rental car.
