About this house rental
The bright double room is furnished with timeless pieces made of high-quality ash wood. The design places particular emphasis on rounded corners and high-contrast colors. To ensure a restful night’s sleep, we provide an additional selection of pillows and blankets.
Use of the sauna and fitness facilities, as well as Wi-Fi, is included in the room rate.
The upper floors are accessible via elevator.

Individual guests appreciate the wide range of local activities and the hotel’s convenient location near the many nearby attractions. (Neuschwanstein and Linderhof Castles, the Oberammergau Passion Play venue, Garmisch-Partenkirchen with Germany’s highest mountain, the Zugspitze, the UNESCO World Heritage Site Wieskirche, Ettal Abbey, and Murnau—the “Blauer Reiter”).

Whether you’re traveling alone or with your family, at the AURA-HOTEL you’ll find a pleasant, convivial atmosphere surrounded by nature and with a magnificent view of the mountains. Located directly on the Ammergau Alps Meditation Trail, the AURA-HOTEL sits on a small hill (900 m above sea level) near Saulgrub, with its own large park (60,000 square meters) where you can relax or take a stroll. Surrounded by the magnificent pre-Alpine countryside, the hotel is an ideal starting point for hikes, bike tours, and cross-country skiing. Hospitality is a matter close to our staff’s hearts.

Our staff and volunteer guides organize a diverse range of activities, from guided walks and hikes, excursions, and sports activities to evening events featuring concerts and lectures.

On-site costs: All 69 rooms feature a bathroom with shower/toilet, a hair dryer, a 32-inch satellite TV with voice output, a large-button telephone, and free Wi-Fi. Most rooms have a balcony with a view of the park and the mountains. Our room rates include a breakfast buffet and all applicable taxes. Starting in March 2026, a tourism tax of 1.50 EUR per person per night will be added to the room rate. A sauna, fitness equipment, a bowling alley, table tennis, Showdown, and, of course, direct access to hiking trails, bike paths, and themed hiking trails offer plenty of opportunities for active recreation.
