You have to “earn” Villetta Simonetta first, as the drive uphill from the lake takes about 15 minutes. But it’s worth it—upon arrival, you’ll be rewarded with an unparalleled view! The approximately 5,800 m² property (partly on a hillside, partly private forest) features not only the approximately 55 m² detached 2-room house but also a wide variety of recreational opportunities. From the interior, the two terraces (one of which has a grill), and the entire property, you can enjoy a magnificent view of Lake Maggiore. Here, you can simply relax, read, daydream, sleep, or completely withdraw from the world. The view has an almost liberating effect, as everyday problems seem to vanish into thin air when you gaze into the distance. What remains is relaxation and the wonderful feeling of “dolce far niente.”
If you enjoy staying active, you can use the private path through the woods as a short running route and then relax as a reward in the approximately 2.5 m x 5 m hot tub (available from late May to around late September, depending on the weather; during other seasons, the sauna is at your disposal). With free Wi-Fi, you can stay connected to the rest of the world—if you even want to at that point. The small village of Campagnano is about 1 km away. An extensive network of beautiful walking and hiking trails crisscrosses the area, so you can set out right from the house.
You can park your car in a private parking area about 250 m away; the house is accessible from the street via about 20 steps. Floor plan:
