Cleanliness terrible/Safety hazards/hosts unresponsive/ Beds uncomfortable

Liked: - the proximity to a park - the size of the home/yard - Fire pit/yard games

Did not like unresponsive hosts who did not address the following issues we notified them about: 1. My 3 and 5 yo are pointing out the high volume of dust around the ceiling fans and light fixtures. There was also a cob web I noticed in the corner of our room. (The dust is so bad I opted to have them not come re-clean during our stay since it would trigger dust allergies we were already experiencing even further) 2. The first step out front into the house is broken which is a safety hazard for the grandparents and kids. The porch light bulb needs to be replaced. 3. Master bath shower the glass looks like it is not in the right spot. 4. Other minor things: a few of the walls behind the door have notches from the door locks, one of the steps going up towards the kitchen is cracked, and there is a ripped chair up on the patio. Also cleaning did not pay attention to details the TV screen was disgusting smudged 5. The hot tub was ok not great day 1 day 2 a storm blew it open causing debris to enter and turned it green by the last day. Additional dislikes: 1. They decided to email after I texted the issues. I don’t check my emails on vacation so when they followed up via text I responded with authorization for them to fix the step and do the hot tub maintenance to which they never responded. 2. Completely uncomfortable beds in the entire downstairs 3 bedrooms. The frames are cheap and squeaky and the mattresses are rock hard with springs. The pillows also looked dirty and gross under the pillowcase. 3. Not being able to use the driveway so you have to park in the street on a dead end that backs up to an apartment complex.

We really liked the music playing over the TV, welcoming us when we walked in. Some prepackaged snacks and waters were also provided. Everything was very clean, and the location was pretty central to our local activities. We would consider staying here again if it's available on a future trip to the area.

DO NOT EVER STAY HERE. A TASTE OF HELL

Being close to my grandchildren

Everything else. It was a nightmare experience. The home was absolutely disgusting. We couldn't use the oven, the grill, had to clean the refrigerator before we could use it. The grime and dust were so bad that we got sick. We couldn't use the driveway and had to park on the street. My sister and I are disabled and when I researched this home it only showed 1 set of stairs going down to a bonus room but when we got there we had to do 2 sets of stairs to get to the main living area of the house. All the bedrooms were on the bottom level so I had to sleep on a sofa that ended up having mice living in it. The ad stated that it was fully equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our stay yet we had to buy dishwasher pods, paper towels, and aluminum foil. The dishes were nasty with dried on food too. I immediately let the property manager know of the situation and they seemed to be concerned yet only offered me 130.00 compensation. I have included several photos of what we dealt with. I paid 1400.00 for 5 days of HELL. If I could have got my money back.....we WOULD NOT have stayed. Some of our items were ruined from the mice chewing on them. They did not offer any compensation for any of that either. When I requested to be able to contact the owner, I was denied. There were mice droppings in all the drawers and cabinets. They sent a guy to come clean yet he was only there for 20 minutes and didn't clean anything. He wiped down the counter and supposedly wiped out all the mice poop. He didn't though. Not sure what he did. The smoke alarm malfunctioned and we waited 2 days for them to fix it which made us deal with lack of sleep because it was beeping constantly until I unscrewed it from the wall. I could continue to list multiple issues behind our nightmare but I believe the photos will speak volumes.
