Deceptive Owner and Unacceptable Conditions

I have stayed in accommodations in 16 different countries, and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. We arrived late at night, exhausted, and went straight to sleep without even checking the room. The next morning, we were shocked to discover a scene that was completely unacceptable: dirty surfaces, dead mosquitoes on the walls, trash and items left behind by previous guests ( used razor and a used body sponge, trash in the bin, cups) , and the toilet seat was urine-stained. The room was utterly unfit for a proper stay. From the start, communication with the owner was difficult and stressful. She demanded an extra €15 for a late check-in, which was never mentioned in the booking, adding unnecessary pressure at the very beginning of our stay. Despite seeing the mess, we tried to handle the situation calmly and reached out via Booking. The owner promised to refund the remaining nights and release us from the room so we could stay elsewhere. However, not a single euro was ever returned, despite our repeated attempts to resolve the situation with both her and Booking. This is nothing short of fraud and bad faith. Due to the owner’s actions, we were forced to book another accommodation at our own expense. We trusted her promise to refund the remaining nights and release us from the room, but nothing was ever returned. As a result, we ended up paying for two accommodations. Even today, the owner seems determined to justify her actions and shift blame onto us, which is infuriating and completely unacceptable. Her behavior ruined our vacation and left us deeply frustrated. Minor messes can happen in any accommodation, and we understand that. But to be deceived, denied a refund, and have the responsibility unfairly shifted onto the guest is entirely unacceptable. I strongly warn anyone considering this property to think twice before booking here. Our experience serves as a clear example of what can go wrong, and it is one we hope no one else has to endure.

Nice apartment that would be nicer if it were clean.

Excellent location in the center of Bratislava; there’s no need for public transport because all the attractive places are very close, and it’s surrounded by many restaurants and cafés. A comfortable apartment, nicely decorated like a small mountain house with a warm atmosphere.

What might not be so good is that there is no elevator, and if you have a lot of luggage, it’s a bit difficult to climb up. Uncomfortable bedding—huge covers for very small pillows and duvets, which makes you feel uncomfortable. Not clean, especially the bathroom and the toilet bowl, which was not clean at all, with lots of dust and stains in the corners.

The apartment was great. Denise was very friendly and helpful. She recommended a restaurant near the apartment. The location was excellent, close to everything. Moreover, Denisa allowed us to do a late check-out so we could pick up our luggage later. I definitely recommend it.

Warm Pleasant apartment but needs to de-personalise

It was convenient to tram stops and the sights we wanted to visit. Also just behind a main shopping street.

84 steps up to the apartment and the landing light turns off too quickly leaving you on stairs in the dark! Felt as if in someone’s home rather than a holiday apartment. Very difficult to locate initially as number on door does not correspond to address.

The location was perfect to reach everything by foot. The appartment was clean and the AC was a savior in the summer

Bed can be a little small for 2. As info, the appartment is on the 4 floor.
