The room is very stylish and the skylights are pretty. I liked the kitchenette and the availability of dishes. My favorite feature is the additional light switches at the bedside that allow you to turn off all the lights from your bed.
Although the room is beautiful, some aspects made me wonder if anyone from the company who runs it had ever tried to spend a night there. Two examples of things that stuck out as strange were that the shower does not have any place to put soaps, I had to put my bar soaps on the ground of the shower. It would be cheap and easy to stick a small suction-cup attached shower shelf to the tile walls and would make the experience much better, and it made me wonder why they had not done something like that. The shower also has no door and does not contain the water, which will run out over the rest of the bathroom floor when it is not meant to. On a similar note, there is a little bar and stool eating area, but the stools are too short for the bar, so actually trying to sit and eat makes you feel like a toddler who can barely reach their food. These peculiarities didn’t ruin my stay or anything, but they were odd and did make the space a bit awkward to use. I would also caution anyone with a lot of heavy luggage, or who may have some mobility problems, that the room is located at the top of 8 flights of stairs, so make sure that is something you are able to do.
