The vacation rental is located on the first floor and opens onto a large terrace right at the edge of the forest. Not far from the house is the “Gipfel- und Aussichtstour” (Summit and Viewpoint Trail), voted Germany’s most beautiful day hike in 2022. This is the ideal starting point for hikes in the Thuringian Forest, to the nearby Marienglashöhle cave, and up to the Inselsberg with its adventure park. Even when the weather isn’t ideal, you can still relax thanks to free admission (included in the visitor’s tax) to the sports and health spa. Thanks to Bad Tabarz’s convenient location (40 km from Erfurt, 20 km from Eisenach, 20 km from Gotha, and 60 km from Weimar), it’s also an attractive destination for city and culture enthusiasts.
