Whittaker's Motel & Historic Bunkhouse

Great location with fantastic staff. Super convenient to Mt. Ranier.

Fun find - perfect for hikers. We enjoyed the food and live music next door but wished the band had played longer into the evening. Our cabin was small with two twins and a bathroom. Not much room to move around but served its purpose. Only complaint is that the walls are thin and you could hear people walking around and talking upstairs. Fortunately, most people were just as exhausted from hiking and crashed early.

Staff at check in were excellent. Easy access to activities, busy but not unbearable, evening food and entertainment were very good. Bedroom was clean but the kitchen area was not (especially the floor). Heat would not turn off. Shower is VERY low indeed. Decent one day base camp.

Lovely quaint motel ….perfect place to stay for the short 5 minute drive to the entrance to Mount Rainier National Park. We hiked the park all day and only needed somewhere to sleep and grab a quick bite to eat . The on site cafe had lovely coffee/tea/breakfast and snacks to take for lunch in the Park. Definitely appreciated the affordable rooms they offer here and we would definitely stay here again. If I had to mention one thing ( just coz the App asks for it) we would have liked to have had a small fridge in the room to keep milk/yoghurts/beer cold. The larger rooms do have one , we stayed in a small twin room. (#11)
