Beachliner Hotel

Clean room, well maintained. Excellent location. They offer beach chairs umbrella and sunblock. You have to get out early enough to avail of these extras. Good breakfast. But on our last day, I sat facing the breakfast spread, noticed flies sitting in the compotes. After 3 days, we checked out but decided to kill some time riding their bikes. Manager informed me we could use the bikes even though we checked out. I thought was wonderful and nice of them! There were 2 bikes left , one was chained up. We attempted to open the lock, triple checked the combination, however it didn’t work. We were inform by another resident, staff usually cuts the lock when this happens. I went back inside to ask the manager to cut the lock, She responded that’s what we usually do but I’m not going outside right now, hence I’m not cutting the lock. I informed her that was the last 2 bikes and we really wanted to use the bikes. She simply shrugged. The whole experience was ruined in the last 5min interaction.

Our family of 4 just returned from a weekend at the Beachliner. The location can’t be beat, just a few houses in from the pristine Ocean Grove beach. There are ample sitting areas, from the front yard and porch to multiple decks, some with ocean views. Our room was #12, on the third floor. Our window looked out onto the back deck, which was a 5 foot walk from our room and felt like our own outdoor space. The room wasn’t huge but was large enough for our family; with comfy beds and fresh towels and sheets. AC worked great and we slept well after walking around town to see all the beautiful historic homes. I don’t usually leave a place raving about the continental breakfast, but seriously, it was terrific! I’m gluten free and was able to find multiple items to eat, which was a relief as it can often be a challenge. But it’s not just the food selection. The atmosphere is so relaxed, with beachy decor and soft music playing in the background. It’s just a very pleasant way to start the day! They have a discount code for beach passes, beach towels to borrow, and bikes to ride. Not sure about beach chairs or umbrellas, but I did see some on the porch, and Bernadette is always around, so just ask! My family would love to return to the Beachliner in the near future! FYI - The stairs are indeed steep and narrow, it is a 150 year old building after all. This does not bother me at all, I think it’s part of the charm, but it may pose a challenge for someone with mobility issues.

We loved this cozy hotel walking distance from the beach, peaceful, relaxing stay.

Very, VERY nice place. Great rooms. Hearty breakfast, Close to beach. Towels, chairs, bikes (I think) are also included. Bernadette is a lovely host. Great communication.
