This place is a real gem and good value for the money. Built in the art deco style of the past century, it affords some real glimpses of Cuba's former high life. The breakfasts were very good and the staff was exceptionally friendly. The rooms are very large with a bathroom almost as big! The fixtures in the bathroom were phenomenal period pieces. There is a fantastic rooftop which is accessed by a series of stairs and they are worth climbing to see the incredible views. Cienfuegos was a delightful city and the hotel is in the center of the city. This hotel is a must visit! You will enjoy your stay as we did.

+ Beautiful building!! Staying in a real, fully decorated palacio with very high ceilings.
+ Friendly lady at breakfast. Also helped us to book a taxi.
- Rooms were not cleaned during our stay (2 nights). Also, no fridge and power sockets hanging out of the wall in the room.
- Little explanation (even when asked) about what you can do in and around Cienfuegos. We decided to go on the suggested Flamingo tour, but the park was closed when we arrived.
