Very nice little castle vibe which the kids loved. The room was big enough for our family and the breakfast was great. Staff was also super nice and helpful.

This property is absolutely beautiful and charming with great views- I highly recommend the garden room if you can. The pool is great.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
It is a walkable distance to shops and bus stops to get into the centre of Angouleme-just check the timetables thoroughly (use the SCNF app for reliable times and routes) and call local cabs well in advance.
The only thing to note was that there was quite a bit of dust and a few cobwebs/ spiderwebs, which I assume was due to the room maybe being vacant for some time?
Otherwise, if you want a French countryside stay- this is the ideal property.

A classical property with great history. A pity there is not a restaurant attached but not a problem. Excellent accommodation at an excellent price. Good communication - necessary as it is quite difficult to find. Loved it!!

My family and I have stayed at Montboulard multiple times now and every time has been wonderful. The accommodations are comfortable, chateau is beautiful, pool is relaxing and staff friendly. I would highly recommend to anyone considering a stay.
