**Five stars. Worth every peso.**
I stayed at Bastión Luxury Hotel this July as part of a birthday trip to Colombia, and it was the highlight of my time in Cartagena. The location is unbeatable, right inside the walled city, steps from the Cathedral and Plaza de Bolívar. You walk out the door and you're in the middle of everything.
The building itself is stunning. A restored colonial mansion with stone archways, an open courtyard, and rooms that balance historic character with modern luxury. The rooftop pool was my daily ritual, cool water, cold drinks, and views over the old city's terracotta rooftops.
Service was flawless from check-in to checkout. Staff anticipated needs before I asked, arranged transportation without a hitch, and gave restaurant recommendations that outperformed anything I'd found online. Breakfast was fresh, generous, and never rushed.

I absolutely loved this property and the Amenities. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great spa, laundry and room services. The pool on rooftop with 360 view was beautiful.

It was a wonderful experience from the very beginning. It has a old world feel with new world vibe. It's very open, but at the same time, you feel the privacy. Very nice rooftop pool restaurant bar security checked upon you all the time staff checked on you all the time. I would highly recommend it's in the middle of everywhere. Most things in town are walking distance.
