Yowza. I never saw a single member of the staff the time I was there. Arrived around 6pm. Waited around for 15-20 mins and nobody showed up. A young lady was there for a job interview and she was having no luck getting a hold of anyone either! She pointed out there’s a room key with a name on it sitting on the front desk. It was mine! My room was in the basement, around a corner, hidden from view. I went out for dinner and when I got back there were two women waiting to check in who also were having no luck getting a hold of anyone either. In the basement there’s no internet so you have no option but to sign on to their unsecured wifi. So I decided to watch netflix. The profiles were all non-english - not sure if it was dutch, german, spanish or something else but it was really sketchy. But rules! Holy christ. A list as long as your arm about the do’s and don’ts and checkout checklists. And they want you to take off your shoes and leave them at the front door. So you’d expect an amazing room! Not so much. It was wild. I couldn’t get out of there quickly enough this morning. I wouldn’t go back at any price.

A lovely stay in Huntsville, right on the lake with canoes and kayaks available for use.

We had a fantastic stay at Fairy Bay Lakehouse. Another group had booked all but two rooms, but the property still felt peaceful and relaxing. We spent time kayaking and swimming and really enjoyed the beautiful lakefront setting. We stayed in a Deluxe Room with a jacuzzi, which was a wonderful touch after a day on the water. Everything was exceptionally clean and very well maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and it was clear that they cared about making guests feel comfortable. This was such a relaxing getaway, and we absolutely loved our time here. We will definitely stay here again the next time we’re in the area! Highly recommend! 🌊🚣‍♀️☀️
