I have stayed at Los Corales several times(locally called The Tortuga). It is a nice clean place with a helpful staff. One thing to make sure to ask to get a room on the back side of the hotel. The rooms which face the road do have some traffic noise which may or may not be a problem depending on what you are used to. It is not excessive but I am from a rural area and just not used to it. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is security around some of the businesses in the area and I have always felt safe there. Another positive is the gas station next door has a Pizza Inn, Blimpies, coffee shope, and a place which has local food. It is clean and safe there also. Across the street "The Shack" makes great burgers and rib tips at a great price. Cabs are always around and it only cost a couple dollars to get to West End. Really for the price it is near impossible to beat this place if you just need a place to sleep... there is no pool or other amenities but at $50 a night would you expect it? I love this place.

Clean rooms, A/C, 2 minute walk to the West End restaurants, bars and cafés, gym + convenience store + ATM right in front and very nice staff. I would definitely recommend.
