Very clean and affordable

Very basic and comfortable place to rest. This motel is on a very busy and loud(SUVs and motorcycles) corner at the gateway to the American River Rec. area. It is a very short stroll to Auburn historic downtown with pubs and excellent restaurants. It was Uber clean with a great shower. Somewhat worn but, again, location was excellent and wonderful helpful staff. Would definitely stay again.

Auburn is a lovely town and located in a beautiful area. We love to stay at the Elmwood - very comfortable and an excellent value. Its location is an easy walk to many points of interest and fun restaurants and bars. Highly recommend!
