The deluxe bungalow was so nice inside with all the modern conveniences but had a thatched roof giving you an authentic Polynesian experience. The bed and linens were very comfortable and the bathroom had 2 beautiful sinks and walk in shower. The kitchenette was an added plus! The pool was wonderful and ocean view and beach were beautiful. The on site Sunset Grill was convenient but we only had 1 dinner there since there are plenty of local restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Moorea!

We were on a cruise which ended in Papeete. We decided to spend an additional 2 nights in the area and chose Moorea due to proximity by ferry. I researched hotels and chose Hibiscus due to the excellent ratings and price. The hotel exceeded my expectations. I booked a deluxe bungalow by the beach and we had a view of the ocean from our room. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the use of fridge, microwave and hot pot. There is a small shopping area within walking distance that has stores and restaurants. We ate twice at Sea you soon. I did not see many groceries to buy for snacks or breakfast at the grocery store but they did have good Tahiti lotions, oils, and soaps. The taxi fare from ferry is about 6000xpf. The ocean by the hotel is okay for swimming but not snorkeling. I was told that a better public snorkeling beach is Tipaniers about 2-3 miles away. The The beach on property is nice. Great views from restaurant. Strong AC, free wifi are plusses. No phone in room, no TV, nobody at reception after a certain time at night. Door to patio was broken. Rooms are dated.
