Hotel Villa Del Sol

We stayed for our honeymoon and it was an excellent stay. The staff were kind and helpful, just be prepared to communicate in Spanish. The "included breakfast" is freshly cooked by the staff to order: gallo pinto, omelette, toast, etc and all were delicious. The AC and fan in the room were sufficient to keep it cool and enjoyable. The pool was clean and fun. Less than 5 minute walk to Coco Beach. Several decent restaurants within a 5 minute walk and the main street with lots of stuff available by 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk. We did lots of recreational activities in a 1.5-2 hour drive, and there were many closer we didn't try. We are already talking about coming back next year, you should give this hotel a try!

Clean and pretty property. Room was clean. There was some ants, lots of mosquitoes and geckos in the room but i guess that’s inevitable since you’re surrounded by nature and especially since the door has a very big gap on the floor. Really glad there wasn’t bigger bugs. The breakfast was $10 and it was delicious. The staff were very nice. The only thing is that the shower had super hot water and wasn’t sure how to get it colder. Turning the knob didn’t make a difference. Overall it was a good stay

The building of the hotel has an old fashion Costa Rican vibe, room is clean and basic. Like the garden and the pool. No elevator though. The breakfast was made by a lovely lady in the kitchen right beside the lobby, that give me a feeling of visiting a friend’s home.

Clean, good breakfast, good location, great value
