Hotel Mar Rey was everything I hoped for and more. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Tamarindo and directly across the street from the beach with incredible sunsets every evening. The hotel was spotless, comfortable, and very affordable. The owners made me feel welcome and were incredibly helpful throughout my stay. I’ll absolutely be staying here again on my next trip to Costa Rica. Highly recommend!

Easy to get to and central to everything.
100 meters away from the beach ad well.
Hotel is easy and convenient, but amenities are dated.

Best location ever, clean room, just one minute from beach, so many nice places to eat next to it and so many souvenir shops around it.

Centrally located, close to all the shops, restaurants and most importantly the beach! The rooms could use some updates especially with the room door and sliders to keep critters out and the cool air in. The property is well maintained though.
