Place was very clean that private onsen was nice and the rooms were very clean . Friendly staff

5 / 10

YuYu Hakone was such a charming escape from busy Tokyo. We loved being surrounded by the quieter, more natural side of Japan, where we could slow down and simply enjoy the experience. Our traditional room was clean, comfortable, and full of character. The onsen was easily the highlight of our stay and made the entire experience feel special. Breakfast was also a nice way to start the day, and the staff made us feel welcome. This isn't the place to stay if you're looking for the energy and convenience of central Tokyo, but that's exactly why we loved it. It gave us a chance to experience a different side of Japan, relax, enjoy nature, and recharge. A charming and memorable stay that we would happily return to.

The hotel was beautiful, The room with futon were big and nice. The onsen was nice. The staff was nice, initially, untill they lied to us by telling us they would send our luggage to our next hotel, and it would get there late the same day. It didn't. When I asked they said the person in charge of that wasn't there, that it was normal to take up ton2-3 days (which is probably true, but they should have told us so we could have made an informed decision) we ended up in a different city with no clothes pijamas, toiletries, etc for a day and a half) they did not offer any compensation

The onsen was very clean and very relaxing! Be aware it is open to the outdoors, so bugs can get inside! My girlfriend and I got scared by a grasshopper jumping on us in the shower!!

Wonderful stay! Only issue I had was finding the location. Google Maps brought us to another location but once we got to the hotel the staff was super accommodating and apologetic. The onsen was also lovely!!
