Great stay , nice location easy access to the U station.

The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood about half a mile walk from the nearest grocery store, restaurant, and subway station that takes you right into the middle of Marienplatz Square. The room was a good size with a somewhat functioning kitchenette that offers a microwave, electric kettle and two burner electric stove, though no pots or pans for cooking. It was nice to have a private patio and the large windows made it seem like an indoor outdoor space which is nice. The issues I had were that the restroom doesn’t really have doors. The shower is half open with a frosted wall on only HALF so you have to shower in a corner of it so that the water doesn’t go everywhere onto the rest of the bathroom and the bedroom. The water closet or toilet also only has half a frosted glass. You can’t enclose it for privacy. So if you value privacy when you shower and use the facilities, this is not for you. The other thing, which may not be exclusive to the hotel, was that there was no smart TV so we were limited to the few channels that only transmitted in German, there was not even an option for captions in another language. If you’re used to watching TV after a long day out, this will be an issue. Housekeeping is only if you ask for it and with a 24 hour notice. The staff was friendly and spoke English.

For the purpose of my visit, it is pretty close and convenient to the Allianz Stadium. I like how it had a full kitchen with utensils and stove. The staff are pretty helpful and friendly, they have tried to assist me with my issue with the thermostat. As for the amenities, first the gym, it’s not a full gym. They have one set of heavy dumbbells and I think 2 kettlebells and TRX bands, but no cardio machines, so if you are looking for a good workout during your stay, I do not think you can do it in their gym facilities. Also, I was trying to see if during my booking through Expedia, it showed it has air conditioning, this hotel does not have cool/ cold air conditioning, only thermostat control up to 19 degrees Celsius. Basically, there’s no cold air coming out of the “AC vents” above like your typical air conditioning units, the summer heat was a little insufferable because the rooms do not get cold, but just set at 19 Celsius. The staff tried their best to fix it for me and had transferred me to a different room because my first room was so warm. So luckily, during my visit in Munich, nights were definitely cooler with a light cool breeze, so by the time the sun was gone at around 10pm, I open the window overnight and get some cool air, and by 6am, I close the window and trap the cold air inside which makes it a lot cooler. So, for travelers this summer or people who run hot, do not expect a blazing or traditional AC.
