We made one request prior to check-in, as we had never stayed at a Pub before. As it was the World Cup, with team England in it, I had some concern that it might be noisy all night. Nothing could have been further from the truth. They were in the pub until all hours, but our room might have been in an isolated convent it was so quiet. One passed through a series of nearly air-tight doors along a corridor, and it became quiter and quiter. So it was the best of both worlds: have a great time in the pub watching footie and drinking beer, then retire to better than library quiet for blissful sleep on comfy beds.
Also the train line is right across the street, so it is very convenient. Now, as we are from the US, using the train system was a bit novel at first, but it works well. When you get here, buy an Oyster card. We got ours at an off-license, and you can re-load it at the automatic terminals at the station across from the pub.

Comfortable, quiet, good coffee in rooms, good atmosphere generally and helpful staff - what's not to like. Will happily stay again.
