What a lovely place. A hidden gem! Such a good location, the staff were really friendly and the room was spacious. There is parking at The Lawns for £10.70 for 24 hours right next door. Very close to the castle, a short walk to the cathedral and lots to do nearby!

Sofisticated elegant clean and very comfortable. Beautiful rooms with extra lounge rooms with second TV. Lovely showers. Breakfast was simple but fresh well presented and clean. Bars comfy and reasonable prices. Lovely outdoor area with a Stokes Tea room selling lovely food. Amazing Tapas restaurant opposite and a nice pub too. Location is perfect for cathedral and castle especially useful for university graduations. Easy walk to Steep Hill cute shops and the big shopping area. Also there is a little "secret garden" in the grounds which is beautiful and a great place to sit and relax. We loved our stay, it was our second visit and would be our first choice for future trips.
