We absolutely recommend staying here if you’re visiting Normandy. Don’t come to Bayeux just for the D-Day beaches and the American Cemetery—make this hotel your base for exploring the region.
The location is perfect, with easy access to all the major historic sites, while also being just minutes from the heart of Bayeux. The city itself is a destination worth experiencing, with charming medieval streets, wonderful shops, and plenty of excellent restaurants.
One of the highlights is the magnificent Notre-Dame Cathedral of Bayeux, whose origins predate Notre-Dame de Paris by nearly a century. It’s an incredible piece of history and well worth visiting.
This hotel made the perfect home base for our stay. Comfortable, conveniently located, and ideally situated for both sightseeing and enjoying the beautiful city of Bayeux. We would gladly stay here again.

Villa Lara was the PERFECT place to stay in Bayeaux, Normandy. The property is gorgeous, the staff goes above and beyond and the location is prime! it was literally next door to the pickup spot for our D-Day tour and within minutes of walking to the beautiful Cathedral and the adorable town for shops and restaurants. Their breakfast was so delicious and they also have a cocktail bar as well. Can't say enough about what a pleasure it was to stay here!
