The Timberline

Location made it easy to walk to restaurants and shops. Staff were very helpful and courteous. Room was well equipped and bed was comfortable. Only reason for lower rating was the hotel was directly on the street and traffic noise made it difficult to sleep (had to keep windows open due to heat). We loved it otherwise.

Checking in was not user-friendly for some of those booking through a third party (no check-in email was initially received and there is no staffed desk when one arrives ). Also it was not clear if a formal checkout was needed (it wasn’t). Accommodations were pleasant. Staff responded reasonably quickly (generally within fifteen minutes). An overall good experience

This is a self-check-in, which is an interesting process, but it worked well if you don't mind being stuck on your cell phone to get through it. The biggest drawback is that standard television is not available. It took me a while to log into a streaming service to view the world cup game I wanted to see the evening I checked in. Also, there is no A/C. A good window fan would have been fine, but despite the evening being cool, and not humid, the room was quite warm. The location is very good, being only a few blocks from the center of the historical district. Overall, I would use the facility again. It was very clean, and had both plenty of towels and rags (a nice touch.) The staff, when I met them were also very helpful, and had good local knowledge.

The hotel was very walkable to restaurants and shops in Leadville. It was a great location.
