Mountain View Lodge is amazing place to stay while visiting Mt. Rainier or its surroundings! We really enjoyed staying there and will would be happy to come again.
The lodge has different rooms and cabins for all group sizes and families. Some of them are even equipped with a kitchen area. So, whether you are traveling alone, with friends, or with family, for one night or a longer stay—you'll find a great accommodation here.
A huge shoutout to the team at the lodge—everyone was so welcoming and kind!
The location is great for visiting Mt. Rainier. Packwood is the best gateway to all the Mt. Rainier entrances, but there are also many other things to explore around the area. Additionally, the Lodge's location within Packwood is perfect—easy to find, and close to cafes and stores. Despite being in town, it is pretty quiet and close to nature. You may even spot elk grazing around (I wish we had seen them ourselves!).

We stayed in a room with two queen beds and a full kitchen. It was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen had what we needed to make a full breakfast. The water pressure in the shower was excellent. Parking was easy. The staff was friendly and responsive. The motel is close to town and the national park. It was very quiet. The motel is older, but our room was just what we needed and not ridiculously priced like other places in the area.

Convenient location nice bed. Bathroom sink handle a little difficult to use. Walls are very thin. I could hear the people in the next room. I used my own fan for white noise.
