The Hirsch is a great little hotel centrally located in Fussen. It is very charming, has a great restaurant and beer garden and allows for walking to local shops and restaurants and is a short drive to the castles.
My only issue with the hotel is the lack of air-conditioning in hotel rooms. We were there in July and it was very hot. We were told that the room had air-conditioning, but there are no air vents in the room and when we questioned the staff, they said there are water pipes in the ceiling that help cool the room. We ended up sleeping with the windows open as temperatures dropped in into the 60s at night, but due to the noise in the early morning we had to shut them and it gets uncomfortably hot quickly. I would absolutely stay at the Hirsch hotel again, but not during the summer months when it is so hot.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Hirsch. The room was clean, comfortable, and full of character. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Breakfast was exceptional, with an impressive selection of fresh, high-quality foods.
I arrived several hours before check-in, and the hotel graciously allowed me to park while I explored the area. They also provided a complimentary public transportation pass, which made it easy to catch nearby Bus 78 to Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein castles.
The combination of outstanding service, thoughtful amenities, and convenient location made for a wonderful stay. I would gladly stay at Hotel Hirsch again without hesitation.

Nice place. Liked the rooftop sitting area.

We really enjoyed this hotel. The only downside was not being able to get a cup of coffee before breakfast started. I would recommend it to anyone.
