Good location close to train station, easy check in. Dated rooms and facilities, but clean and fine for one night before flight. Shared bathroom but nice hot shower and basin in the room.

Similar to another recent reviewer, I almost had second thoughts after reading the review of one person. I had a great time staying at Corte Canal. The location is so convenient to the train station (helpful for an early morning train). There's a lovely coffee shop on the corner of the street. And the property itself? I found my room and the shared bathroom extremely clean. The shared kitchen could have been a little cleaner, but I only used the fridge for a few items (and the kitchen could have been because of the other guests). Is this a luxury hotel? No. Is it like staying in a hostel? Yes, but without the roommates.
I was allowed to store my bag before my room was ready - a quick call to the very nice and friendly manager was all it took once I was at the door. Someone else mentioned mosquitos - if you leave the window open at night, they'll come in (which the manager reminded me of). If you plan to spend your days walking through Venice and want a clean, quiet place to sleep at night, I'd stay here.
