Vila Luz is a great family hotel. We stayed in the upper section which has an extremely heated pool. A bit warm when the temperature is over 30celsius, great when the temperature dropped to 20celcius. The bigger, lower pool is less heated and great when it's very hot.
Everything was clean, and the breakfast buffet was good, and well stocked, if a little repetitive.
The staff are very friendly and helfpul. The only issue we had was arriving after midnight, reception was closed. The staff had helpfully sent a message through Expedia explaining how to get my key for my room. But, due to the holiday being a package deal with Ryan Air, at no point was I informed it was an Expedia holiday in disguise and never got the message. Not the hotel's fault.

An avid traveler for years, this hidden gem is one of the top places I have ever stayed compelling me to write a review which I normally don’t do. Special thanks go to the amazing staff: Hilario, Ricardo, Tatiana and Miguel! The cleaning ladies were super amazing as well, they did a thorough job and were very pleasant!
The ocean view room on the 2nd floor was very spacious; had all the amenities and we had breakfast a couple of times in our balcony enjoying the beautiful views and the sun!
Stayed here end of May for a week ( fam of three) and it was very peaceful as place wasn’t full with guests yet. Very kid friendly and close to the beaches of Burgau and Luz, about 10 min car ride.
I enjoyed the sauna as well and had 3 of my other family members staying at another place visiting one afternoon and it wasn’t frowned upon.
Highly recommend it!!

A beautiful Clean apartment beside a shared heated pool that you could enjoy by yourself. Breakfast was TOP CLASS - fresh fruit/orange juice/ Eggs + Bacon. A 15 minute walk to the Village + Beach . We did the 2 walks one to the East and the Other to the West. Nice quiet resort . HIGHLY RECOMMEND
