The location is lovely and the hotel is a stunning Castello! Everyone is very friendly and welcoming as well! I enjoy staying at Castello Monterone!

We stayed here in September and were so impressed that we built our recent Italian trip around staying here again. High standards maintained. We travelled into central Perugia by local bus which was easy and inexpensive. Taxi from train station was €17.

Overall very good stay. Great place if you want to be near Perugia but not in it and, more so, at an absolutely beautiful property. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Our room was definitely small but we got stuck with a smaller corner (Lecci room) likely because we didn’t direct book with them and other than being very tight, the room didn’t have its own router for some reason so internet was an issue but staff addressed best they could. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast not great and loud annoying American tour group didn’t help (says this American). Again, would stay if want amazing and unique property close to Perugia and main towns in Umbria.
