I came to Manila first time. I stay 3 nights at 1898 colonia hotel in July. Hotel has excellent location for guys who loves night life. Staff was very polite, clean my room every day. I used pool on 6th floor. They allow me to check- in 3 hours earlier without any cost. Price for the room was much cheaper than hotels around like Grand hotel and I M hotel, but service same and even better. Go to this hotel. Good place to stay

I stayed at 1898 Hotel Colonia for 4 nights and overall had a positive experience. As others have mentioned, the hotel is in a large building at one of the city's busiest corners, so it can feel quite crowded at times. The building itself is a bit dated, and the three elevators are often busy and not air-conditioned, so it is not a five-star luxury experience.
That said, the management and staff were excellent, very helpful, and welcoming throughout my stay. The room was clean and well-maintained, and housekeeping did a great job. Considering the price, I felt the overall value was very good.
