Love this hotel. If you're coming on the train or bus, it's very convenient. I don't love staying near the beach, so it's great and really all of Brighton is a short walk anyway. It's close to the Lanes, clean and affordable, always my 'go to' when in Brighton.

I stayed for two nights at this hotel. The location is excellent, as it is very close to Brighton Station.
The breakfast buffet was very good, with a nice selection of food. However, I found the staff, particularly the lady hosting breakfast, to be unfriendly.
On the first day of my stay, I was unwell and barely ate anything, including dinner that evening. The following morning, I asked if I could take my breakfast to my room because I still wasn’t feeling well. Unfortunately, the hostess simply said “no” without asking why or showing any understanding of my situation. I felt the response lacked empathy and customer care.
As someone who also works in the hospitality industry, I understand that policies need to be followed, but I also believe good service means listening to guests and showing compassion when appropriate. In this case, I felt the focus was more on getting through the shift than helping a guest who was unwell.
Overall, the hotel was good, mainly because of its convenient location and the quality of the breakfast, but the staff’s attitude could be improved to provide a more welcoming experience.

Clean room and great hotel facilities. There were sometimes room service drinks and trays left outside of the rooms for multiple nights, but it didn’t take away from the whole experience.
