8 / 10Excellent·Jul 2026
The place was very clean with a full kitchen, comfortable bed, access to a large number of tv channels, and a nice living area.
Not being particularly technologically savvy, it took some time to figure out the check in, especially since there is no check in staff. The tub sides were quite high and the shower lacked stabilizer bars, which made older folks like myself feel a bit unstable. The shower floor could get slick and result in a fall if not careful. Going up and down stairs was not bad; however, this might be a concern for more elderly with health issues.
Nice place and especially good for a more extended stay.

We had a wonderful stay at The Getaway! The property was absolutely immaculate, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend. The location couldn’t have been better—just minutes from the charming shops and excellent restaurants in downtown Blowing Rock, making it easy to leave the car behind and explore on foot.
The combination of a spotless property, comfortable accommodations, and an unbeatable location made our mountain getaway truly relaxing. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Blowing Rock!
