This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the central train station, yet our room was remarkably quiet. In fact, the entire hotel was peaceful—we often felt as though we were the only guests.
We stayed in a traditional quadruple room, which was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. We especially appreciated the traditional dining area, which added to the experience. The staff were welcoming and pleasant, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent.
If I could suggest a couple of areas for improvement, the bathroom was a little dark, and our room did not offer any view. Although our corner room had several windows, they were frosted and could not be opened. These were only minor drawbacks and did not detract significantly from our stay.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel.

After staying in tiny Japanese hotel rooms, we loved staying at Hotel Banister. Big western style hotel rooms with room to spread out. Just enough out of the way to be quiet but still close to major transportation stops. Big bathroom with an Onsen style shower and tub.
Closest konbini was a little bit of a walk away, first time we've run into that in our travels in Japan. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay here.
