The bad:
-the resort pulled a room switch on us first night. So I slept on a pull out couch instead of a bed… linens for the bed were not there & needed to be called in. That took about 30 mins.
Today we are supposed to move to a different room but so far check in has passed & the room is not ready. (The room became available as I’m writing this & they said we can go but they are performing repairs in one of the rooms. Wish me luck) (BTW we’re moving to the 1500$ a night villa, & I only say that for reference as you’d think they would maybe be a little more on it.) It’s very frustrating because I was assured it would be ready at check in time. If you ask them when it will be ready they say they will find out & call you back but they don’t call you back... If you’re the type of person who doesn’t like your room to be downgraded then you may want to consider another resort. Just something to think about.
-you’ll find the staff is very friendly when everything is going well but if there is an issue they’re still friendly but not necessarily helpful
We did check in at 2am but they were notified previously via email & we took their own driver service from the airport. So we did not catch them by surprise.
The good: the resort is beautiful , pretty clean, the water is nice, the food is really good.
This was my honest experience on day one.
