The staff was great. Only part that was tough was the transformer blew up right in front of the hotel and we didn’t have electricity for a cool 8 hours. Staff was helpful, walked me to my room. We didn’t receive any special amenities or discount for the disturbance. Otherwise, the hotel was a great location. No extra thrills but you know it was poppin back in the day. Historical boutique style. A hop, skip, and a jump from bourbon. Lot of homeless crackheads walking around as well but they have police/guards at every blockade. Feels very safe despite the chaos you see. Also you can’t hear anything from bourbon which is nice too. No loud disturbances.

the on-site restaurant that only does breakfast and brunch is excellent, with good value and quick service, and large portions. Hotel has few amenities. Room was very clean, has mini-fridge, coffee maker, but no microwave. rooms that do not face the street (which is most of them) are quiet, which is good since street can be noisy.
Not sure if they clean rooms every day.
Not convenient to use stairs to go between floors unless you are right near them, and neither ends up near the lobby.

Right from the start the front desk staff made us feel welcome. Everyone was so friendly and helpful! We loved the vintage hotel and our room was wonderful. Bathrooms were a little small but it was super clean. We worried about the noise from the street but that wasn’t an issue either. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Hope to stay there again when we get to New Orleans in the future.
