5 stars.
Booked this because it was the cheapest room in Mildura on a Saturday night, so naturally I was preparing myself for a mattress like a slab of concrete and a shower that dribbled like an old bloke with prostate issues. Instead, I got a room that was clean, fresh, and very modern for a rural motel.
This place is only cheap in dollars, not in amenities. Great value for money and far better than I expected.
Didn’t get a chance to use the swimming pool shaped like Australia — missed opportunity on my part. Next time I’m packing the swimmers.
Now for my gripe — and there must always be a gripe, just to keep things balanced. Truth be told, they’re hard to find… but if I’m being picky:
The location is in town but not quite within easy walking distance to the main drag, which meant I had to keep one eye on my alcohol consumption for the drive home — always a dangerous game in Mildura.
Secondly, it’s on the main road. Makes it super easy to find, but there is a bit of road noise at night. Nothing outrageous though — nothing a decent glass (or bottle) of local red couldn’t sort out.
Would definitely stay here again.
