The Wayfarer San Diego

This hotel was just what our family needed for a short vacation! Staff was so nice, beds where comfortable and rooms clean!

My wife and I have stayed at this property several times and we've always been happy with the room. The room is very clean and comfortable. AC is extremely strong and powerful, which really helps bring down the humidity in the night. Shower gets hot quickly. Staff is very accessible and can be reached via text as well. Parking is in a covered garage (provided there is space). The oceanfront rooms have also been redone and there is no more floor-to-ceiling mirror, which is a huge improvement. The fridge also holds quite a bit of food/drinks. A couple of quirks that could boost the room even more positively - 1. Ice is only available on the first floor, so you will need to make your trip down the elevator to get to it (if you were on the third floor like me). It would be nice to have an ice machine on every floor. That said, the north side ice machine actually has a water dispenser, which is a nice perk of being on the north side. 2. Shower - would be nice to have a detachable wand attachment for more thorough cleaning while showering. 3. Additional bath towels on check in would be nice. You are given three large bath towels, but for my wife, she will often need an additional towel for her hair and so we often need to ask for additional towels on check in. Having 4-5 large bath towels would be good here. Overall though, really like the hotel and would stay here again.
