Bad communication and furniture/appliances breaking

Location was good and the place was spacious for two people for a long stay.

Upon arrival we notice that the toilet seat was loose. We sent a message the same day with no reply and had to phone several times the next day to get through to the host. No specific time was given as to when the plumber will arrive and they arrived at 6:50 am unannounced. The day after the faucet broke and once again, we got a vague time for when the plumber will arrive. After several attempts to reach the host the next day, we were told that the faucet was fixed. The same night, the bed frame collapsed and we had to fix the bed slats ourselves. Lastly, the dishwasher stopped working.

Experiencia horrible.

Nuestra experiencia en esta casa en Annandale fue, sin exagerar, nefasta de principio a fin. Nada más llegar nos encontramos con los cubiertos y las sábanas sucios, algo completamente inaceptable en cualquier alojamiento, y más aún cuando se supone que ha sido limpiado antes de la entrada de nuevos huéspedes. La primera noche, para rematar, encontramos dos cucarachas en el baño. Una situación asquerosa y muy desagradable. El panel de la habitación deja entrar luz constantemente, por lo que es prácticamente imposible dormir bien. Descansar allí fue una odisea. La cama, además, era incomodísima, hundida y nada adecuada para una estancia mínimamente confortable. La taza del váter estaba rota, algo que ya habían mencionado en reseñas anteriores y que, aun así, sigue sin estar arreglado. Es evidente que el propietario ignora por completo los comentarios y no invierte en el mantenimiento básico del apartamento. El portal del edificio olía a marihuana casi todas las noches, lo cual genera una sensación de dejadez e inseguridad desde el primer momento. Aunque el anuncio vende la ubicación como “cerca del centro”, la zona nos pareció malísima: justo al lado había dos puticlubs y por la noche el ambiente era bastante turbio. Había gente muy extraña merodeando y, sinceramente, daba miedo caminar por allí cuando anochecía. Por si fuera poco, intentamos comunicarnos reiteradas veces con el propietario —por llamada, WhatsApp y SMS— y fue prácticamente imposible obtener respuesta. La comunicación fue inexistente cuando realmente la necesitábamos. De hecho, le pedimos por favor si podíamos abandonar el alojamiento tres días antes debido a todos los problemas y si era posible gestionar algún tipo de reembolso. En un primer momento nos dijeron que sí, que lo hablaríamos, pero después dejaron de contestar a varias llamadas y mensajes. Y cuando vieron claramente nuestro enfado, la actitud cambió por completo y se pusieron bordes, en lugar de intentar ofrecer una solución.
