Simple place to stay, has what you need, and nothing more.
ACH was a fine place to stay. It is fairly close to the subway, seems safe, the kitchenette is handy, and clothes washer was a nice bonus. The place is simple, easy to access, near a grocery store and a few restaurants, and pretty close to Senso-ji and Akihabara which is nice.
There are a few things about ACH that would prevent me from returning. It is not a bad place to say - it is perfectly adequate, but that’s about it. There is no artwork or color in the condos. Ours was like moving into a new apartment - nothing on the walls, no throw rugs - just stark white, nothing inviting. As a solo traveler, arriving in Japan for my first night, it felt cold and unwelcoming. The email you get just before you check in, talks about how under no circumstances are parties or loud noise allowed, and if you are caught doing those things you will be kicked out, even in the middle of the night. Could be language barrier, or just could be they’ve had bad experiences, but my reaction would have been different if they had said, “our condos are a quiet respite from busy days and we’d appreciate it if you respect your neighbors!” Or something. The dining table had dried food on it, and the dining chairs were stained with dried bits of food and fabric stains. I spent about 20 mins with a washcloth cleaning them before sitting down. I attached pics in case people think I’m just OCD…. Lastly, the location is on a very busy street. You cannot open the windows, because it is too noisy. There are two sets of windows - inner and outer, to keep the noise down. But the outer windows are frosted - so if you want it quiet, you cannot see out the windows. For a solo traveler (for the first couple of days), it makes you feel like you are just in a white box with no windows. Could be cultural differences - but just know before you go - you can’t see outside if those are shut, and they sorta need to be shut to have a phone conversation. There is also a fire station right around the corner, and about 10 times per day, they are dispatched. They are quite loud, and can leave anytime - even in the middle of the night. I don’t mean to be overly harsh, but the images in the pictures they give you paints a very different picture of the property in my opinion.

Washing machine but no dryer.
The location and 4 single beds
The room had a washing machine but didnt have a proper dryer. You had to hang clothes in the bathroom and keep the heated ventilation on. This was very impractical and added painful chore which you have to do end of the day. Firstly this system should have been mentioned in the description. They should have provided enough hangers to dry the clothes. We travel with 2 kids and needed to wash clothes and dry clothes everyday. It rained everyday in Tokyo which made drying clothes even harder.
