A disappointing attempt to stay near LACMA.

The location was as expected, near the area of town we wanted.

The listing did not include the information that the front door is up a flight of stairs from the street level. The townhouse lacked cleaning supplies - no kitchen sponge or dish brush was provided. There was one single, small dish towel. The bathroom sink had no working cold water faucet. The sink was dripping. The shower worked great but the cold water knob was sealed with a plastic grocery bag and some tape. The bathroom doorknob wouldn’t stay on its threaded rod. The oven door was inexplicably locked when I attempted to prepare for a dinner we had scheduled for our first day. I couldn’t find any instructions in the house for how to resolve this so I used the contact information provided by the host. It took 4 hours and an escalation to Booking to get a response. Only one burner on the five burner stove would light. We left the property after the hosts were unable to resolve our complaints after 5 hours of me sending messages and hearing back from a chat bot.

Left early and paid for a hotel

Good location

I was travelling for work. This house is not set up as you would expect from an apartment / house rental. No ironing board (spent a fortune on laundry services), no bathroom products, limited cheap toilet paper. The bath was blocked with black hair - the host told me to clean it myself (I do not have black hair). The dishwasher had been unplugged - I let the host know and they told me to plug it back in and ended up flooding the kitchen. The host was quick to respond and offered no quick resolution. I ended up moving out and paying for a hotel. Price paid not worth the inconvenience.
