Cottage in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

About this cottage rental
It has large living spaces (90m² not counting the 80m² of the old stable or even the bedrooms of 16, 16 and 21m²) both inside and outside (garden with trees and flowers of 800m²), allowing children and adults to enjoy it to the fullest.
The cottage is located at an altitude of 1200m in the hamlet of Lescure which overlooks the Planèze and is the last hamlet before the Col de Prat-de-Bouc and the Plomb du Cantal, which is the highest point of the largest volcano in Europe. You are therefore at an ideal starting point to explore the summer pastures, meadows and forests by mountain bike, on foot or on snowshoes in winter without having to take the car. During the winter season, you have the opportunity to indulge in cross-country skiing just 2 kilometres away, or to access the Nordic and alpine area of Prat de Bouc which itself allows you to reach the sumptuous resort of Lioran from the slopes.PGJyPg
We are Salers cow breeders 2kms from the cottage so if you wish we can share with you some of the moments that punctuate this activity or show you around our buron.
As you move away from the hamlet, other attractions will undoubtedly catch your attention, such as:
- the Garabit Viaduct, an impressive contemporary structure spanning the Truyère and its nautical bases,
- the hottest spring in Europe in Chaudes-Aigues,
- the Grand Site du Puy Mary,
- the many waterfalls.
Wonder guaranteed!
From our house of character, it takes you only 15 to 20 minutes to reach the destinations of Murat and Saint-Flour. The first is a breathtaking testimony to the medieval and Renaissance periods. As for the second, it houses an aquatic centre, the Saint-Pierre Cathedral and restaurants in which the ancestral culinary recipes of Auvergne are promoted.
We rent a minimum of 3 nights and from Saturday to Saturday during school holidays.
Mandatory service to be paid on arrival:
- Supply of linen (bed, bath and house) and beds made on arrival: 15€ per person
