locks and communication - a disaster
This property is very well located and clean. The stairs are very steep and there is a 2 inch step in the passage way which is a danger to the unwary. My wife fell
SERIOUS PROBLEMS - the codes and locks to get in were complex to use and did not work properly. The outside door worked after we got used to it- but the "smart" lock to the apartment was a disaster. It would not take our code, and continually failed. Each time we returned to the property we had to spend ten minutes trying to get the lock to accept the code. I guess we had to try up to 30 times each time before the lock finally decided to work as it should work.
The telephone number given for contacting the landlord is out of service - consequently we had to hope that he (Nick?) would pick up our emails and sort things out. We felt we might end up sleeping in the doorway as the lock seemed to be broken beyond repair (in the end we were lucky and it let us in)
The shower only gave hot scolding water. I sent and email to the land lord and it seemed to have been repaired when we returned that evening, but theri was not reply to my email.
The price is very reasonable, the bed and facilities were fine for the price, but until the locks are fixed, and lines of communications fixed, the faults make this otherwise cheap and well positioned apartment a place to avoid
I see the owner has replied with some lies that he contacted us after we asked for his assistance; he did not contact us. Looking at other reviews with similar stories I see the owner has made comments that teh reviewers are lying. It seems every time he gets a bad review he blames the clients?
