Unfortunately, our stay was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this property.
The upstairs bedroom air conditioning was not working. Since the windows need to remain closed because of the monkeys, the room became unbearably hot at night. More generally, the house has very poor airflow, as again the windows need to be kept closed, which makes this issue even worse.
The upstairs shower also had a very slow drain. The bathroom flooded during every shower unless it was kept extremely short, which is clearly unacceptable.
The helpers were not friendly! While in a shower one insisted that she was getting in to clean the room! When she could hear the shower running! And towels were not changed!
In addition, there was no joint inspection of the property at either check-in or check-out to document the condition of the unit or agree on any potential damages. At check-out, no one was present. Then, one day later, we received a message from the host claiming additional cleaning charges. We disputed these charges, as the condition of the property had been the same during the previous days and we had never been informed that extra cleaning fees could apply.
Despite raising these concerns in detail, the owner/host did not make any meaningful effort to address the issues. Instead, the deposit was refunded with the disputed cleaning charge deducted. We found this approach impolite, unfair, and highly unprofessional.
Due to the unresolved maintenance problems, lack of transparency regarding charges, and poor handling of our complaint, I would not stay at this property again or recommend it to others.
