Worse than a dog kennel

Not much

Everything about this property is below average. The hot tub and private fenced off area for our dog sold it to us. The ‘fence’ is a mostly a fake greenery sheet with holes everywhere, there are massive gaps underneath the wooden fence as well so loads of spaces for dog to get out meaning we couldn’t allow him out without watching his every move. The hot tub cover is ripped everywhere and falling apart. The garden furniture is tired and broken. Everything in here was low budget, bed frame is metal and from Amazon (£80) and even that’s dented, fridge is dented and freezer section had no door (been ripped off I imagine) and needs defrosting. Damp in the cupboard underneath sink where plates and cups are kept so everything smelt of damp/mold. The the probalu cost £80 and the sound on it was awful. The sofa bed was horrendous, pulled out and the whole thing is ripped and falling apart. I kid you not, every inch of this property is tired, broken and old. The pizza oven is a health hazard, it’s situated in basically a wooden dome with no vent for the chimney so as soon as we tried to use it we were being smoked out. Completely against fire regulations. We left at 10pm the evening we checked in (at 5pm) as didn’t feel comfortable staying in such a shit hole. There is no luxury to this lodge, it is run down and nothing is finished to a good standard. My dog has stayed in kennels better than this. I held off complaining to owner as can see from his reviews he likes to keep peoples deposits if they kick up a fuss. Awful place truly awful.

Was a wonderful stay, and a beautiful lodge, but definitely not worth the £243 I paid for one night

Lovely set up both inside and out. Everything you need, and a nice private outside space.

No water pressure so couldn’t use shower or sink…

Beautiful lodge so pretty

The hot tub didn’t work on our stay which was disappointing, we had no hot water from the taps just the shower. Very dark from the car park (a few little lights would help)
