Never rent I317 again until repairs made air conditioner ducts are clean
Guest contact was very responsive. And very kind-hearted!
The air ducts had mold coming out of every supply duct location. The smell was off scale bad. The owner had several bags to cature moisture in the master bedroom, where the issue was the worst. It was so bad we were worried about getting sick. Guest service came to the unit and verified our concern and agreed that it was not normal at all and very bad. But with it too late for a refund, we were trapped. I felt sorry for her and us. The preacher who married us had died the month before, and my 1st cousin was buried the day we arrived after his funeral service. We brought the preacher wife knowing she and us all needed a vacation. We stayed in at least 5 other units at this same location but never encountered this problem. We took pictures of mold and changed the air conditioner filter, which appeared to not have been changed in months soaked what we could with lysol to try to kill mold before it got us all sick. To be honest, it was ruff, but we were trapped out of $1300. The living room had Visio remote for TV in the living room but not Visio TV in any room installed. Later, I figured out it was for old TV under bed in master bedroom. The two Ruco TVs in the unit have one remote, so the person in master would have to come to the living room to change channels, adjust volume, etc. This was crazy. In the last few days, we got a call saying the unit below us thought our unit I317 was leaking water into the unit below. We could never prove or disprove this. We could not tell anything was leaking when we took baths, so this caused added stress and made us scared to bathe. Also, some realtor tried to enter to show the unit without even knocking really unset and scared my wife when she heard someone trying to open the door.
