Was close to the City. Was possible to store the bicycles in small courtyard behind the apartment.
The sink of the shower was full of hairs. AirCon could not be started. After first answer by the host after booking, there were no more answers to messages in booking.com. Only link to a different registration system. So anonymous and little bit complicated system, which we don’t like.

The apartment itself was lovely. It was modern, bright and very convenient to the centre of Udine and not too far from the bus station.
There was a safe space in the courtyard behind our apartment to store our bikes
First of all there had not been any communication about the entrance to the apartment on our day of arrival.
We arrived after a long day of cycling and had to ring them (number used by for instructions. The first call went through to someone who had not dealt with the property for more than 6 months. He gave us another number to ring and we finally got through to the right person who told us the code to the entrance to the building. Once inside we did not know which was the door to our apartment. By sheer luck we tried the key on the first door and it worked. After 15 min. we were sent the directions to the apartment entrance, (we had already unpacked by then)! The first thing we noticed was a slight sewage smell in the whole building. we decided a cup of tea was needed. No tea and no kettle. One coffee pod each. The kitchen tap was broken (hanging loosely so it was necessary to use two hands to operate). No shower gel, no hand towels (the bath towels were also thin and of bad quality), dirty, greasy, fingermarks on the microwave and the inside of the fridge/freezer. Cutlery and crockery was not clean. The pillows were of extremely bad quality and even though there were some more pillows in the wardrobe there was only one more pillow case. The bed was made up with only a top sheet and the duvet left in the wardrobe had no duvet cover. A phone call was made again and we made a list of missing/broken items . Someone did come about an hour later with shower gel and some more towels ( no hand towels). No apolegies about any of the other complaints and the kitchen tap was not fixed during our 2 day stay.
Tea and a few more coffee pods were delivered the following morning. Still no kettle so we had to boil water in a saucepan.
