The farmstead is nestled in the lush Tuscan countryside, 1 km from Monterotondo Marittimo, a small medieval village in the Metallifere Hills region. The village is surrounded by Mediterranean scrub rich in flora and fauna that stretches toward the sea, which is easily accessible. The seaside resort town of Follonica is 35 km away, and 45 km away lies Punta Ala, known for its marina.
In recent years, Monterotondo has become a destination for hikers and cyclists thanks to the numerous marked trails in our forests, which are rich in natural beauty. The town also offers bike rentals; a pump track (a bike course featuring bumps, jumps, and parabolic curves) has recently opened nearby.
Just 15 km from Larderello, the “capital of geothermal energy,” Monterotondo offers a truly unique natural spectacle in the Biancane Park; the “Mubia” geothermal museum was also recently inaugurated.
The surrounding area features numerous thermal springs, such as the Biolago spa complex in the nearby town of Sasso Pisano.
The town’s chestnut groves feature a festival area where, during the summer, visitors can enjoy traditional dishes in the cool shade of the trees.
